Zimbabwe women's tour of Ireland called off

The forthcoming Zimbabwe ladies' voyage through Ireland has been canceled as Zimbabwe Cricket have hauled out of the arrangement refering to 'financing issues'. The two groups should play three one-dayers and three T20s, from July 3-14.

"We got correspondence late this evening from Zimbabwe Cricket in which we were educated that because of a subsidizing issue, Zimbabwe Cricket won't send their ladies' group to Ireland," Warren Deutrom, Cricket Ireland (CI) CEO, said in an announcement.

The Zimbabwe ladies' group was planned to land in Ireland on Sunday (June 30) however didn't turn up. Be that as it may, the men's group has touched base in Ireland and their arrangement will go according to plan.

With the ladies' arrangement expected to fill in as a significant readiness for both the sides in front of the up and coming World T20 qualifiers, Ireland are currently left scrambling to compose matches with an alternate resistance in such a short notice.
